The “Dream Peel”: My Miracle Peel review

A month ago, my boyfriend showed me a single pimple on face (lower lip part). At first, I even laughed at him because he never had pimples before (that’s right, I’m a bully to my boyfie lol). I admit, it’s a ‘common dilemma’ for me to have such pimples (which often leads to acne), but for him to get that? It’s very uncommon.  It might be because of hormonal changes, as part of growing up.

I advised him to stop using his daily facial scrub, an immediate intervention, for a thought that he might aggravate his pimples if he continue to use it. However, as days go by, it became worse. By then I decided to buy him the same product I’m using for my face. The Miracle Peel by skinpeelshop.com. Literally, the “miracle peel” for me.  It works perfectly for my skin as it never caused any irritation. With regular use, I get the skin glow I always wanted. To my surprise, I even became less prone to acne because of this product.

After two weeks of continuous use, results became visible for him.  (Please see photo below).
As you can see, the miracle peel will not just solve your pimple problem, but will give more vibrant skin as well. What are the other benefits you can get with this product? Here:

  • ·         It gives a powerful deep peel with less redness, irritation and burning sensation
  • ·         It uses an oil base formulation makes peeling more comfortable and tolerable
  • ·         It is perfect for deep scars, severe discoloration, severe blemishes and all other major skin imperfections
  • ·         It treats and prevents acne while clearing all forms of comedogenic obstruction from the pores (which causes black heads)
  • ·         It also treats and prevents signs and symptoms of skin ageing and photodamage
  • ·         It makes your pores smaller
  • ·         It softens and smoothens the skin
  • ·         It contains powerful antioxidants that hasten skin healing and regeneration
  • ·         It contains anti-ageing nutrients that effectively reverses loss of skin tone.

Though optional, I use miracle peel with the Peel Primer ($8.25) and Peel Recovery Cream ($8.25). Instructions on how to use the product can be seen on their fancy website:

I was really sold with this product. Unlike other creams and facial wash I used before, this Miracle Peel gives more promising results not just for me, but for my boyfriend as well. Some other products might be effective for us, ladies, but not with the guys. On the contrary, others might be ineffective for us, but works well with the guys. This miracle peel works for both. Not only that, ordering from their website so easy! Without a doubt, I am buying another set for me and my boyfie J

My Korean Face Mask Review

I’m a lazy girl when it comes to facial care. I know that I should pay more attention to my skin and wash my face every night.

But why go through all of that when there are makeup remover wipes? Okay, I’m terrible-- I know… So that’s why I’m starting to get into taking better care of my skin by exploring new skincare products. Lately, I’ve been into face masks as a fun and easy way to freshen up my face.

Every morning I wash my face and make sure to moisturize my face with a lotion that has SPF 15, at least. At night, I usually just use a baby wipe or makeup remover wipe. I’m in college right now and broke, so spending money on excessive face lotions and creams is far out of reach.

I’ve realized that the nights I don’t take off my makeup and don’t take care of my skin, I end up seeing the consequences of it. I’ll wake up the next day with a big fat pimple. Right now, I have a big one on my nose and I know it’s because I’ve failed to wash my face at night. That means I needed to find something to get my face back to normal again.

I came across some Christmas presents I got last year that I haven’t used yet. My grandmother who is Korean gave me a couple of face masks I had never heard of before. She said they were Korean face masks and that they were really popular on the beauty scene. I Googled ‘Korean face masks’ and the face mask she got me happened to one that a lot of beauty gurus have talked about.

My grandmother gave me a couple of Papa Recipe Bombee Whitening Honey sheet masks.
Apparently, they are organic and packed with nutrients for the skin. It’s made from organic pulp too.
It’s designed with organic propolis (bee resin) and honey extract to hydrate skin. It also has diamond
powder and glutathione that brightens skin.

I opened a mask pack and it immediately started oozing honey goo. It smelled amazing, like real
honey. The mask was folded up with a thick white cardboard like paper. You have to unfold the paper
and separate the two. The mask feels so thin yet jelly-like. It had two eyeholes, a nose and mouth hole.
I applied it over my face and smoothened it to fit perfectly. I then left the mask on for 30 minutes.
The mask felt really fresh on my face. The whole time, I could smell the pleasant honey smell.
The mask never dropped off of my face like I thought it would either!

After I washed my face, my skin felt so soft. It was definitely softer than before.
I also noticed that my face looked brighter. I don't know how that's possible, but it actually
looked and felt brighter than beforehand. I could also smell honey for the rest of the night,
I would do this face mask again for sure. The mask was easy to use and I could feel
improvements instantly. I will definitely have to try more Korean skincare products soon
because I now see what all the hype is about.

Pancake : A healthy snack

healthy oat pancakes
The boyfriend and I both LOVE pancakes.
But, I never eat pancakes.
Why?
Because they’re usually packed with refined carbs, sugar, and feel more like a treat than a healthy breakfast. Usually if I’m at a restaurant and I order pancakes for breakfast, I’m hungry just a couple hours after I’ve eaten thanks to that carb high and crash (which happens after you’ve eaten refined/white flour carbs or sugar).
So, for a while now, I’ve been searching for a healthy pancake recipe that TASTES like a treat, but is actually good for you.
healthy oat pancakes
And finally, I’ve created one!
healthy oat pancakes
These pancakes are light, fluffy, perfectly chewy, slightly sweet, and so good for you! They are made with oat flour and sprouted wheat flour, which keeps you full much longer than white flour thanks to their fiber and protein. There’s very little sugar added per pancake (only 1 tbsp honey for the whole recipe), but they are still slightly sweet. And the texture is absolutely perfect. It’s kind of like eating a bowl of oatmeal in the form of a pancake.
I like serving these with a little bit of stewed pears on top: which are literally just chopped up pears with the skin on, simmered with a couple tbsp water and a sprinkle of cinnamon in a small pot until they are soft and the sugars have caramelized (about 5-10 min).
Layla LOVED these pancakes, and the boyfriend did too! And he is picky about his pancakes.
To make these gluten free, just use gluten free oat flour. You can also make these vegan by using flax eggs instead of regular eggs! To make a flax egg, add 1 tbsp ground flaxseed to 2.5 tbsp water in a small bowl, let sit for 5 min and then add to your recipe like you would a regular egg. ou can use flax eggs as a 1:1 replacement for regular eggs.
And while these pancakes taste great with the stewed pears on top…
You can also enjoy them plain, with nut butter on top, with fresh berries, or just about any topping you like! With only 140 calories, 3g Fiber and 5g protein per pancake, this is a breakfast you can feel great about eating!

KOJIE SAN KOJIC SOAP REVIEW – HONEST AND NO BS

For the love of AMW readers, I gave the No. 1 Kojic Acid Soap a try for almost a month and I'm ready to share my experience.

It was a timing when I recently had allergies on my arm and I was left with dark spots that doesn't seem to go away (as of speaking, it has already been there for 1 month and I haven't used any medication)! It was embarrassing on my part since 90% of my job, I get to meet with people. Sadly, most of the time, I tend to see their eyes wander on my arm and probably wonder if what I have on my arm is infectious or not. So, I always choose to wear long-sleeved tops or dresses just to "cover up". Unfortunately, the weather gets hotter by the day and wearing long-sleeved outfit isn't practical anymore. I knew I had to do something!

It was great timing that a lot of my readers emailed me and asked about Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap. I knew it will be difficult for me to share how "it can effectively whiten my skin" since my skin is quite fair to begin with! So what I did was, I used the soap like regular soap whenever I shower and take a bit more time to leave the product on my dark spots caused by food allergies. (Note: If you have skin allergies, please do a patch test first!)

Note: The dark spots are healed spots, do not apply whitening soap directly on fresh wounds!

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap Says ---
High-grade Kojic Acid prevents melanin production for lighter, clearer skin.
Effectively diminishes dark spots, freckles, acne, plus stretch marks and unevenness.

The 135g bar is colored orange and has this faint citrus scent that does not linger for long.  It may not have hydrating effect like most moisturizing soap but it does not dry out my dry skin!  All I need to do is to follow up with my favorite body lotion or oil immediately after shower to keep my skin soft and supple.

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap is quite sturdy and doesn't melt quickly! In almost a month's usage, I still have half the size of the soap left on my shower and it sits prettily on my soap dish even with the extreme temperature inside the bathroom.

Before and After Photo
Photo was taken 2 weeks after constant usage. I am very happy to report that some of the red spots fade away and some are almost invisible! I know the result is not drastic but I'm still happy to see how Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap effectively lightened red and dark spots. I am now more confident in facing my clients without having to hide under clothing!

Overall, I am very happy with the result, I will keep on using this until I see the spots to completely go away and of course, it doesn't hurt if the soap helps even out my skin for the rest of my body!

Goree Soap and Goree Day and Night Whitening Cream Review

Hey guys!

This review is gonna be long!

By using Kojie San soap, Eskinol+Dalacin C, and Pond’s Detox everyday, I maintained a pimple free face.

One time, we had to render overtime at my workplace. We were at it until 4 in the morning. I got home at about 5 and took a shower before tucking myself to sleep. I woke up at about noon and saw the horrifying pimples all over my face.

(Excuse the face!)

For about a week, I stuck with Kojie san and Eskinol+Dalacin C, but I honestly couldn’t see any change. That’s when I came across something.

I often read reviews of skin care products and one fine day, I came across a post in Facebook. I read all the reviews about it and it’s so believable that I just had to order online.

PROFILE:

Name: Goree Whitening Soap and Goree Day and Night Whitening Cream

Price: I got the soap for 250 pesos and the cream for 450 pesos

Claims:

Goree whitening soap is a combination of synthetic and organic ingredients. It is the best skin lightener with optimal skin penetrating base.

Benefits: Goree White Radiance Whitening Soap whitens your skin. Vitamin B3 provides cellular energy for skin to enhance skin’s renewal process.

Actually, the two products I got have the same description at the sides (as seen on photos) with just the name that’s different.

When I opened the box of the cream I also got this but I don’t know how to read it so I just took a photo. It’s printed back to back.

What I like:

-I love the smell of the soap. It’s so feminine.

-After about 2 weeks of using these, I got real improvements on my pimples. Here is a photo:

I was in awe of this product. I even vowed to make a bulk order.

What I don’t like:

Since I noticed a drastic change on my pimples, I went on to use it for about 5 weeks. On my 6th week, I noticed that my body, specifically my neck, is so itchy. I didn’t think that it was the effect of the soap and cream and so I still continued using it.

7th week, my itchy neck has rashes already and my face was bulging. The bumps are so small and so so so itchy that I had to go to the doctor. I was told to stop using the soap and cream and I was given a prescription for anti-histamine and an itch cream.

Shiseido Hadasui Face and Body Lotion (Pink)

Review:
When I purchase the Hanasui during my Tokyo 2013 trip, I was just trying to stock up on Japanese  toners that are affordable. It was when I started to research the product then I realized more benefits.

There are two sizes for the product: 240ml is in a spray dispenser both while the 400ml is a cap bottle like pictured above. I purposely bought the bigger size because 1) I have spray bottles at home that I can pour into to use 2) I think it's a better value for the bigger bottle.

Although it's a multi-purpose product, I solely use it as a facial toner/lotion. I find it very refreshing and light. I use about 3-5 sprays directly to my face and neck prior to serums and moisturizers. There are no alcohol so it's not drying at all. It's not the most moisturizing facial toner/lotion I have however I think it's much better than just mineral water by itself due to all the beauty ingredients added such as fruit extracts and amino acids.

Overall I think it does its job well. It doesn't promote lasting results but can immediately refresh and provide moisture to the face. I don't think I will repurchase this product though.

Overall: ♥
Product: 3/5 ♥
Packaging: 5/5 ♥
Price: 5/5 ♥
